The mighty rivers of this planet are born in creeks of obscure little hills, barely visible to the eye. So is the story of this great institution - Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST). It took birth on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami in the year 1940, in a small rented obscure premise in Visveswarapuram, Bangalore. It was a vision, driven by its only teacher-founder, Sri M.C. Sivananda Sarma. Over seven decades later, RSST today is a conglomerate of 27 educational institutions. The college conducts several conferences and seminars every year. This makes the students in improving their education. The college conducts co-hosted state level conference every year. The experienced faculty and the students in the college have delivered scientific paper presentations in several national and international conferences in India and in abroad.
Extra Curricular Activities:
The college conducts several extracurricular activities every year apart from the regular academics. The college conducts a week long cultural fest with the name of Parva every year and in this the students are encouraged to showcase their talents. The college also conducts annual sports meet every year in the month of December. The students in the college have also participated in so many zonal and inter-sports competitions and got prizes.

For the benefit of outstation students, R V College of Physiotherapy provides hostel facilities at reasonable charges around the campus exclusively for boys and girls. Homely food is served for students and provisions for regular medical checkup and treatment in case of emergencies are taken care of.

The college has well stocked library which provides to the students a vast collection of Physiotherapy and various other medical text books as well as national and international journals for course work and research. Apart from this, the library has a subscription to a number of magazines, newspapers and periodicals to encourage reference reading among students.
The college also provides e-journals and e-books under HELINET consortium from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Physiotherapy education involves outbound training sessions. A special fleet of buses are deployed for transporting students from the college to hospitals for clinical postings and training.
####Placement Assistance Cell:
RVCP has established placement assistance cell to act as an interface between the college and the healthcare industry and perform entire gamut of clinical activities such as out-postings into various corporate hospitals, NGOs, rehabilitation centers etc. to strengthen the students’ knowledge of healthcare sector and enable them to be industry ready while they graduate. We are also creating provisions for in campus interviews for placements and employment.
