§ Origin of College – The medical college has been promoted by a prestigious Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar Charitable & Educational Trust. Ther initiation of the medical college & hospital was done by educationist, Member of Parliament and philanthropist Sri M A M Ramawamy.
