St.Thomas School is a unit of Christ Church College, Lucknow. Christ Church College, Lucknow originally a tiny Anglo Indian School was founded in 1878 by Mr. H. Mc. Conoghey . The school was registered under the name of Christ Church McConoghey School Society, Lucknow under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and Governed by the Diocese of Lucknow (CNI) having its head office at M.G. Road, Allahabad.
St. Thomas School will start with Nursery and Preparatory classes and will gradually be upgraded to a college, affiliated to the I.C.S.E. board.
The aim of st.thomas school is the all round development of the Child’s personality. To inculcate in our students the principles of honesty, truth, co-operation, self reliance and hard work, participation in co-curricular activities is compulsory. High level of individual performance is encouraged, and the spirit of team work is engendered. The clean competition on the playground tends to develop sportsmanship gentelmanlines and a healthy spirit of competition.
Regular competition will be organized in Elocution, Debates, Extempore Speech, Essay Writing, (Hindi and English) Debates (Hindi and English) Art, Batik Collage, Music, Drama. These activities develop self confidence, spirit of cooperation and hard work.
Prizes both individual and team are awarded to stimulate in these activities.
The School year begins in April and ends in March, there are 2 terms in a year.

The school has begun with Nursery and Preparatory classes but will extend to class XII. The course of studies has been designed to prepare the students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education class X (I.C.S.E)and the Indian School Certificate class XII(I.S.C.)Examination , New Delhi. The course has been designed in accordance with the recommendation of the Kothari Commission, the medium of instruction being English.
Pass certificate will be awarded by the Council to candidates of I.C.S.E. who qualify in 6 subjects which include English, Environment, Education and S.U.P.W.
The school organizes Excursion, Picnics and Educational tours from time to time.
Students conduct the morning assembly and participate in prayer services to learn the spiritual and moral values.
An active, Students Council helps in the smooth functioning of the college activities.
Basket Ball, Cricket, Badminton and Foot Ball tournaments are organized to inculcate sportsman spirit.
Well equipped, Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories are used for science teaching.
College also has a modern computer laboratory and all the students have an easy access to computers.
