In 1978 Ms. Manjula Jhunjhunwala of Jhunjhunwala family in Faizabad became worried about the lack of good educational facilities in the town. Ved Krishna, her son, must start school, but where she should send him. This made her realise that Faizabad needs a school where a child can learn and develop in a stress free and joyful manner.

With the help of two friends, Rita Banerjee and Binny Singh, she planned a Nursery School. To gauge the viability of such a school it was opened in a single room of a private house.
As admissions increased it became necessary to shift into a larger accommodation. A small out-house behind Pushpraj Cinema on station road was taken on rent and adjusted to contain the school.

The Progressive increase in strength of students and classes soon made the space available in that building inadequate. A generous donation by the Motilal Bhimraj Charity Trust made the land available. In 1981, Jingle Bell Nursery School Society was formed and registered under Societies Act 1861 to run the school.

In 1982, five rooms were constructed on this newly purchased land. The school grew in popularity. Due to the vertical and horizontal growth in 1991, it was split into two schools- Jingle Bell School (Class Nursery to class II) and J B Academy (Class III to Class XII). J B Academy shifted to new premises. Soon it was realised that the space and the design in the existing building does not suit the spirit of curriculum. So in 2006, the school shifted into a new building. It is built in 2 acres of land and the construction is based on Bala (Building as learning aid) design. It includes spacious classrooms and a large playground. The prime focus is on utilizing every corner of the campus as a learning aid to nurture the inherent potential of the students by providing them a rich and stimulating environment.

The school authorities keep abreast with developments in early childhood education and regularly adapt curriculum to the latest techniques.
