Fatima Senior Secondary School, an “Educational Temple of Learning" in Gonda is a Christian educational institution set up and administered by the Catholic Diocese of Lucknow under a Religious and Charitable Society engaged in educational, medical and social works in the ten districts of Uttar Pradesh and is registered under the Registration of societies Act XXI of 1860. It is a coeducational day school founded in July 1976 with only 46 students on its roll, the institution has since grown and is progressing by leaps and bounds with more than 3200 students as on date catering to the educational needs of the town of Gonda and its neighboring areas.

Examination and Evaluation

The evaluation of the students’ progress is done through continuous process of assessment (CCE) upto class X whereof we assess their academic, cultural, intellectual and co-scholastic areas.
• Written examination/summative assessment is conducted twice in an academic session.
• Formative assessments are conducted to evaluate the academic progress of the students.
• In the senior section i.e. XI-XII we conduct three terminal exams for the assessments of the students.

Primary and Junior Wings

The primary and junior sections aims to create a scholastic environment by encouraging the students to become confident and helps to develop physical, intellectual and motor development. It also helps in developing effective participation in group activities. A wide variety of teaching and learning devices and strategies are used to nurture tender minds. A major feature of the primary section is its stress on language and communication skills. From this year onwards we shall be introducing SMART CLASSES for the students of primary section to impart quality education to them.

In keeping with the guidelines of CBSE the school has since switched over to continuous and comprehensive evaluation process and has tried to reduce the burden of our students by having evaluation of shorter duration rather than lengthy examinations, ushering in a stress free atmosphere for the kids. We have a separate CCE room where all the data of the students are kept safe under the able guidance of expert teachers.
