Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI), along with the University, constitutes 7 Schools and a College. While the college offers programmes to students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in information technology, commerce, management and journalism, the schools offer National and International boards of studies. Recently, Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI) was bestowed with the "Most Promising Institute in South India" award at the British South India Council of Commerce and Business Meet 2014.The Presidency University, Bangalore was founded by the Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI). The university's founding Chairman and Chancellor is Dr. Nissar Ahmed; the Vice Chancellor is Dr. Radha Padmanabhan.

ADMISSION

·         The candidates shall ensure that the completed application form with all particulars and enclosures reaches the Admission Section within the date and time specified. Applications received by Speed post / courier or any other means, after the last date & time will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

·         - Candidates seeking admission under Special Category for degree courses (Children of Freedom Fighters, Haired Impaired, Orthopedically Physically disabled, & Children of Ex-Servicemen - except Sports Quota) shall submit the separate Special Category Form I along with the main application in the prescribed format available along with the Prospectus with enclosing the relevant certificates. If the certificates are not enclosed the candidates will not be considered under that category without any intimation to the candidate.

·         Candidates seeking admissions under Sports Quota are directed to submit their main application as well as the special category form II prescribed for Sports along with the Certificates. If the certificates are not enclosed, the candidates will not be considered under that category without any intimation to the candidate.

PLACEMENT

Companies are encouraged to give pre-placement talks before the commencement of recruitment process. This gives students a chance to know more about the company, work culture, growth opportunities and learning and advancement opportunity at the organisation. They will also get a clear idea of the kind of profile that they would be working on. This would enable the students to make an informed choice and help enhance the effectiveness of the company’s selection process.
HR can conduct different rounds of selection process and inform the names of selected students to the Placement Department, which in turn shall inform the concerned students of the same.

 Presidency follows ‘One Offer per Student’ policy and a student’s name will be automatically deleted from the placement process as soon as she/he receives a firm Job Offer from any organisation and will not be eligible to participate in further placement process.

In case any company wants the selected student to join them prior to the completion of the academic year / University exams (early joining), the same shall be informed by the company to the Placement Department. The permission for the same is granted on case to case basis and the College reserves the right to approve or disapprove the same.
