Eligibility Criteria

As prescribed by Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed the Bachelor’s Degree in any of the faculties of any recognized university or an examination recognized as equivalent there to and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant. The maximum age for seeking admission into stream of 3 years bachelor degree course in law is limited to 30 years in general category and in case of SC, ST and other backward class applicant it is limited to 35 years.

The applicant shall have passed 10+2 or an examination recognized as equivalent there to and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant. The maximum age for seeking admission into stream of 5 years bachelor degree course in law is limited to 20 years in general category and in case of SC, ST and other backward class applicant it is limited to 22 years.

No candidate will be entertained for admission even if he satisfies the above condition, if he fails to attend the counseling on the prescribed date notified in the schedule on the website from time to time. 

About Bharati Vidyapeeth University Law Entrance Examination

The Bharati Vidyapeeth Common Entrance Test is conducted every year by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. This test is for admission into LLB(3 years), BA LLB(5 years) and BBA LLB(5 years) undergraduate programmes. The Test is conducted in metro-cities of India.

Test Pattern:

The examination consists of a single question paper of one hundred objective type questions.

Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking.

25 questions on each of the following sections:

1. English Grammar, Usage & Comprehension
2. Legal aptitude, Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning
3. Current Legal News & General Knowledge
4. Social Sciences with an emphasis on Indian Constitution & Political System in India

Application Process

• Applications forms are available, at Pune Campus, Bharati Vidyapeeth University and Institutes at New Delhi, Mumbai, Sangli, Kholapur, Solapur and Karad.
• Application form shall be filled by the candidate in block letters with Black/Blue ball point pen and also have to be affixed with latest passport photograph.
• D. of Rs.1200/-towards Entrance exam fee shall be drawn in favour of the Registrar B.V.D.U., Pune on any Nationalized Bank payable at Pune.
• The D.D. shall be enclosed with the application form with name & address of candidate written on the backside of the D.D.
• The attested Xerox copy of the qualified examination may be enclosed with the form(except for those candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination & whose resultsare awaited.)
