VIT B.Tech Admission Minimum Eligibility Criteria 2018
For Maharashtra State candidates:
- Aspirants must have passed HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.
- They must have obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects Or taken together.
- They must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates or belonging to Maharashtra State only).
- Candidates must have acquired a BSc Degree from a Recognized University as defined by UGC. They must also have obtained atleast 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
College Campus
The college has about 2800 students, 225 faculty members, 67 laboratories, 1 central library and 150 administrative and supportive staff.Spread over an area of 7 acres (28,000 m2), the academic area consists of four major buildings. The campus has a canteen, a Nescafe coffee outlet, a fruit-juice(and breakfast) center and a bakery that remains open during the college hours, and a fully air-conditioned auditorium with ceiling fans The student’s hostel is off-campus The hostel is state of the art and is equipped with a mess facility for students. It is located about 3.5 km from the academic area.

My choice to join VIT to pursue Chemical Engineering ended up being a wonderful and serendipitous one. The exposure to top-notch Engineering education in VIT is unparalleled by the virtue of excellent faculty and professional learning environment.
