What is Computer Science?

Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems. Unlike electrical and computer engineers, computer scientists deal mostly with software and software systems; this includes their theory, design, development, and application.

Manipal University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020

Manipal University B.Tech eligibility criteria 2020 are given below:-

The admission to all the B.Tech courses at Manipal University is through the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) which is held at various centers in India.

General Category: Admissions in B.tech at Manipal University will be done on the basis of rank obtained in the All India Manipal Entrance Test - MET 2020.

Foreign/NRI Category: Applicants belonging to the Foreign/NRI Category may apply for admission on the basis of the marks obtained in any of the qualifying examinations.

Eligibility and selection criteria:

• The candidate should have passed 10+2
• The candidate should have studied Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects and one of Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry or any vocational subject as optional.
• The vocational subject must be related to either the chemical, civil, computer, electrical, or mechanical streams.
• The candidate should have scored 50% marks.
• The candidate should have taken the MET for selection
• Those who qualify the MET will have to go for MET counselling.
• After five rounds of counselling, the selections will be made.
