2. NHCE offers a four-year BE programme in five specialisations with an annual intake of 900 students. The duration of the course is spread across four academic years which is conducted in eight semesters, with each semester having a duration of 16 weeks.

To be eligible for BTech programme, a candidate needs to pass Class 12 or equivalent examination from Karnataka or any other recognised board with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate and Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as compulsory subjects (40 per cent SC/ ST candidates).
