NHCE Admission Process 2020: Fast Facts

Admission to BE programme is based on rank obtained by candidates in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). Candidates with a valid score in CET, conducted by Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association (KRLMPCA) are also granted admission

• For PG courses:

Admissions to MTech and MCA programme is based on Karnataka PGCET. However, applicants with GATE score are also eligible for admission to MTech programme

For MBA programme, admission is granted based on KMAT/ MAT/ PGCET score obtained by eligible candidates

• For PhD/ MSc (Engg) course:

2. NHCE offers five courses at UG, PG and doctoral level in the field of Engineering, IT, Software and Business Management, including BE, MTech, MCA and MBA.

1. What is the flagship programme of NHCE?
2. NHCE offers a four-year BE programme in five specialisations with an annual intake of 900 students. The duration of the course is spread across four academic years which is conducted in eight semesters, with each semester having a duration of 16 weeks.

1. How can I be eligible for BTech programme?
2. To be eligible for BTech programme, a candidate needs to pass Class 12 or equivalent examination from Karnataka or any other recognised board with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate and Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as compulsory subjects (40 per cent SC/ ST candidates).
