About DSCE

Dayanada Sagar Colleges of Engineering also known as [DSCE] was established in the year 1979 at Kumarswamy layout, in the heart of Bangalore City. Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is one of the best engineering colleges in India. It has ranked among top ten engineering colleges in Bangalore, Karnataka. Engineering, Dental, MBA, and Management Courses are taught in Dayanada Sagar College but it has the highest demand among engineering aspirants for B.E/B.tech Admission.

DSCE has established itself as the pioneer in the field of engineering education and has successfully established three campuses under Dayanada Sagar Group of Institutions in Bangalore City. At Dayananda Sagar Group of Institutions [DSI], there are three campuses available for B.E/B.Tech Admission in Bangalore.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering [DSCE] is the main 1st campus located at Kumaraswamy Layout, Bangalore. It is more than fifteen branches of engineering for Bachelor of Engineering [B.E] admission. The college has a very nice infrastructure with a hostel, playground, parking, canteen facility, college buses all inside the campus.

It has separate department buildings and classrooms for all branches of engineering. Dayanada Sagar Academy of technology [DSATM] is the second campus under Dayananda Sagar group of Institutions established in the year 2013 at Kankapura road in South Bangalore.

The college is spread over more than 60 acres and is easily accessible via cabs, buses and metro trains. Currently, it has only five engineering branches for B.E/B.Tech admission.

What is this course?

Medical Electronics is an allied course that gets up on board the medical profession. This is one of the few areas where you will be working in the medical field and be an engineer at the same time. A medical electronics professional will design and develop devices to be used by doctors and hospitals. Hospitals are now packed with hi-tech equipment but lacks trained manpower to maintain them. A professional would be needed to take control of those equipment -- that would be a medical electronics engineer.

Eligibility - For admission into bachelor's degree a student must have passed 10+2 exam with biology, chemistry and physics. For entrance into most colleges, a student will also have to appear for a competitive entrance exam. The tenure of the course is 4 years. The course is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University - a government university. A student can sit for COMED-K examination for a seat in the subject or can go through the direct admission route.

Prospect - A student can either go for higher studies or enter the job market directly. Medical Electronics engineers can get employment in various industries such as hospitals, medical institutions, manufacturing units, medical equipment, government agencies and pharmaceuticals. They will also develop modified devices and provide advice for handling and maintaining medical equipment and seek employment in medical equipment companies as technical advisers.  The number of jobs available right now.
