Bangalore Institute of Technology came into existence in Aug. 1979, under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha, Bangalore with an intake of 242 students. The present strength of the institute is 2510. Admission under Management Quota in Bangalore Institute of Technology, The institution came into being in August, 1979 under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha, Bangalore. The institute offered the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Instrumentaion Technology Telecommunication & Information Science & Engineering.
Bangalore Institute of Technology has always been at the forefront of modern technology and is credited with the introduction of the first full-fledged COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING degree in Karnataka.Thus, the institute has identified future growth areas and incorporated various courses over the years. At present B.I.T offers 9 undergraduate, 6 post graduate and a Ph.D course(s) with a student strength of more than 2500.

B.Tech. Electrical Engineering: Admission Process
To get admission in engineering colleges, first of all student should be 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics. After that the student can attempt entrance exam or they can get direct admission also.
After clearing the entrance exam, counselling will be done and the eligible candidate will be selected. And, if the student is getting direct admission then selection will be done on the basis of merit list or management quota.
Following is the criteria for admission through different modes-
Direct Admission- Engineering institutes which offer direct admission have certain criteria for admission. Either they offer admission on the basis of merit in qualifying exam i.e. 10+2 or equivalent or there are some management seats reserved in private engineering colleges. For management quota the fee structure is generally higher than others.
