Established in the year of 1979, Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) was founded by Sri R Dayananda Sagar and is run by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peeta Trust. The college is an autonomous institute located in Bangalore and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum .

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) offers undergraduate engineering programs i.e. Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree. The university offers postgraduate programs that lead to Master of Technology (M.Tech) programme and the doctoral level courses comprise Master of Science (MSc) by research and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes.

Different admission procedures are conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) for UG, PG and Ph.D courses. Some courses require an entrance test while others require a merit basis entry.

• Admission to the B.E / B.Tech courses is done through JEE mains or KCET
• Admission to the M.Tech programme is done through GATE
• For admission to the Ph.D / M.Sc (research) courses, VTU conducts ULRAT entrance test
• Candidates can apply for admission through official website of college

B.E Programs

• For UG, The admission to college is through the entrance test, Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government & Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka COMEDK. The students with meritorious ranking are considered for admissions.
• A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as specialization
• A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45 % marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/ Computer science/ Electronics

Candidates in the region dream of getting into DSCE Bangalore but very few of them get to realise their dreams of higher education due to constraints of money. DSCE Bangalore scholarship is provided to students who are financially incapable of paying the tuition fees.

DSCE Bangalore approves all the scholarships that are provided by the Government of India. The Government of Karnataka also provides scholarships for backward students. The National Scholarship Portal provides the details of all the scholarships provided by the Government and provide a place to apply.

Some of the famous scholarship schemes are Top Class SC Scholarship, Commonwealth Scholarship etc. Reserved category and minority students benefit the most from these scholarships.

Apart from scholarships, financial aid is also provided through educational loans and fellowship assistance. According to the MHRD, Government of India, the students admitted in M.tech and PhD programmes in engineering are entitled to fellowship assistance of an amount of money per month for their services in the field of engineering.

This money helps the students to cover some of their tuition fees. Education loan is also provided through some nationalized banks at low-interest rates and the authorities can guide the students through the process of availing the loans.
