Businayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah College of Engineering (BMS):

The College is an autonomous engineering college in Basavangudi, Bangalore, India. It also has Evening College (BMSECE), a non autonomous college, which comes under VTU. The engineering college, started in 1946 by B. M. Sreenivasiah, was the first private sector initiative in technical education in India and is run by the BMS Educational Trust.

The college was affiliated with Bangalore University until 1998. It was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University from 1998 to 2008, and became autonomous in 2008. BMSCE is located on the Basavangudi Area Bull Temple Road, opposite to the famous Bull Temple. Though a private engineering college, it is partially funded by the Government of Karnataka.

Placement​

Most importantly, BMS College has a training and placement centre. Therefore, the placement officer of BMS college is Dr.Pradeepa S. More than 100 companies across the country and abroad visit the campus for recruitment. So Every year more than 80% of students got placed. For final year students gives training in soft skills(including communication skills, personality development, aptitude tests, CV writing, etc). Similarly, memorandum Of Understanding(MOU) signed with Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Siemens, Mercedes-Benz, Huawei, Nutanix, Tcs

Eligibility and Entrance Exams

Students should have completed 10+2 exam or equivalent program with the average score of 45%. They should have also gained merit score in the entrance exam to attend the respective Counselling.

• K-CET exam – 50% of seats are reserved under K-CET exam for admission of the local Karnataka Students. The candidates should have scored good rank below ten thousand.
• ComedK – This is the national level entrance exam which is conducted by private institutions for admission in Karnataka. The students should have scored good marks. Counseling is done before allotting the seats.

BMS College of Engineering Direct Admission 2019 Batch

• Student must be 12th pass from science stream to get admitted in UG Engineering Program with 45% average score in PCM subjects are eligible for BMS College Of Engineering Direct Admission 2019.
• For Postgraduate programs, you must have successfully completed your UG degree course with more than 50% overall marks scored.
• Apart from annual tuition fees, you need to pay BMS College donation fees to get admission through management quota in BMSCE.
• BMS Engineering management quota fees are paid only one time “ At the Starting of Admission procedure” Later you need to pay only per annum fees and hostel fees to BMS College.
• Choose any branch of Engineering and any campus of BMS college either BMSCE or BMSIT you want to join depending on your budget and interest.
