PES University Admission

PES University (PESU), formerly PES Institute of Technology (PESIT), is a private university in Bengaluru, India. Established in 1972, it is focused on four main educational areas: Engineering, Medicine, Management and Life Sciences. The institutions offer both foundation courses in these areas, as well as specialization with a Bachelors/ Master/ Ph.D. degree. It was upgraded to university status in 2013.Students from across the world take Admission in PES University, making it one of the Top 10 Engineering College.

PES University Engineering Entrance Exams

PESSAT: For B.Tech, B.Design, B.Arch Admission in PESSAT entrance exams conducted every year in the month of may for admission to PES University, Bangalore

Comedk: For B.E Engineering Admission in PESIT South Campus Comed-k entrance exams is conducted for 30% of total seats.

K-CET: For Karnataka State quota seats 50% of seats under PESIT South Campus and PES University is allotted through K-Cet entrance exams and counseling.

Eligibility Criteria:

• For admission in B.E/B.Tech., the candidate must have 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th or equivalent.
• For B.Des. , Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Arts, Science, Commerce or any other relevant stream and should have studied English as a mandatory course along with valid UCEED or university test scores.
• For B.Arch., Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and should have studied mathematics as a mandatory course along with valid NATA scores.
• For BBA.LLB., the candidate must have at least 45% marks in 12th from any recognized board. Also, CLAT and PESSAT score is also mandatory.
• For BCA, BHM, and BBA, the candidate must have done 12th or equivalent qualification.

What is your review of CSE at PES University?

CSE at PES University is the best in Bengaluru (not counting IISC ). With an awesome faculty (you may not feel it in the 1st year though) and advance course it puts you on the top notch. The syllabus changes every year and made up to date.

The labs and infrastructure are also good. It may not be in a state to be compared to IIT’s (old ones) but definitely comparable to the top NIT’s. PESU is improving every year along with the quality of students.

Placements for CSE is quite impressive. Almost every company that visits IIT’s for CSE also come here. And for the few which don’t come, you are living in Benagaluru the IT HUB , look around for your dream company’s office , I bet you will get it. Apply externally, the college will not do everything for you.
