About The College:

1. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology [MSRIT] is an autonomous private engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) headquartered at Belgaum, Karnataka, India. The college was established in 1962 and recently celebrated Golden Jubilee. From Aug 2007, MSRIT has been academically autonomous for both Under Graduate and Post Graduate PrograMS.While VTU will still award the degrees, the college has academic freedom in framing its own schemes of study, curricula and student evaluation.

The College was sanctioned 12 crore rupees under TEQIP program from the World Bank in 2012. MSRIT offers various prograMS which include Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Technology, Master of Business Administration and also offers PrograMS leading to award of PhD in various disciplines. In 2013, MSRIT was ranked 16th best engineering College in India by India Today and Neilson. The same survey also rated the college as the best in Karnataka.

With the objective of imparting contemporary technologies in the field of Telecommunication Engineering, MSRIT started Department of Telecommunication Engineering in the year 1997 affiliated to Bangalore University.

With the advancement in technologies and challenges faced in health care sector, MSRIT with an intention of creating skilled manpower and to explore the plethora of opportunities started the Department of Medical Electronics in 1996.

With the objective of creating high quality professionals to meet the global challenges in the field of Computer Applications, Department of Master of Computer Applications was established in 1997.

To enhance management skills MSRIT started Department of Management Studies (MBA) in the year 1998 which is growing from strength to strength day by day and within a short time the department has carved a niche amongst the comity of colleges offering MBA degree.

MSRIT: Two lakhs fees per annum as tuition fees.

MSRUAS: Two lakhs fees per year as tuition fees.

For K-CET Students:

Around Seventy thousand tuition fees for both campus.

For Management Quota Seats:

MSRIT: Two lakhs fees per year plus the donation amount at the time of admission.

MSRUAS: Two lakhs fifty thousand per annum as college tuition fees, No donation because there are free seats for all branches.

Hostel Charges:

Minimum Ninety thousand per annum for accommodation including fooding & lodging at MSRIT and MSRUAS College hostels.

Separate hostel for boys and girls with internet wifi facility, laundry and hostel mess.

Qualification Criteria for BE

The hopeful probably passed 10+2 examination with least half of imprints proportionate to two-year pre-college in Karnataka with science and arithmetic and obligatory subjects to be qualified for admission to MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.

The qualification marks for confirmation is 45% as a rule and 40% in SC/ST class understudies.
