RVCE-History

Established in 1963 with three engineering branches namely Civil, Mechanical and Electrical, today RVCE offers 12 Under Graduate Engineering programmes, 21 Master Degree programmes and Doctoral Studies. Located 13 km from the heart of Bangalore City – the Silicon Valley of India, on Mysore Road. Sprawling campus spread over an area of 52 acres set in sylvan surroundings. Provides an ideal ambience to stimulate the teaching-learning process, helping in bringing out skilled and disciplined Engineers.

Current annual student intake for Undergraduate Programmes & Post Graduate Programmes in Engineering is in excess of 1200. Highly qualified and dedicated faculty. Programme Educational Objectives

PEO1: Acquire appropriate knowledge of the fundamentals of Basic Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences, Computer, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering so as to adapt to rapidly changing Technology.

PEO2: Think Critically to analyze, evaluate, design and solve complex technical problems through research and innovation in the areas of Telecommunication, Embedded systems, Networking & Broad Band Communication systems.

PEO3: Function and communication effectively demonstrating team spirit, managerial skills, ethics, respectful and professional behavior.

PEO4: To face challenges through lifelong learning for global acceptance.

Program Specific Criteria (Psc)

PSC1: The curriculum of Telecommunication Engineering contains basic courses in science and mathematics to help the graduates in fostering their ability to utilize statistics, probability, transform methods, applied differential equations, material physics and chemistry in support of telecommunication system design.

PSC2: The Curriculum is designed to mould graduates with the ability to analyze, design, and implement Electronics, telecommunications and embedded systems using devices, processors, digital signal processor and VLSI for switching technologies, networking technologies and broadband communication systems.

PSC3: The program will prepare graduates with the technical and managerial skills necessary to enter careers in the design, installation, testing, management, operation, and/or maintenance of telecommunication systems.

PSC4: The curriculum also emphasizes on the importance of Protocols and standards for system design.
