The VNQ7040AYTR is a four channel high-end drive that utilizes ST's proprietary VIPower ® Technology manufacturing, packaged in PowerSSO-36 packaging. It is designed to drive 12 V automotive ground loads through 3 V and 5 V CMOS compatible interfaces, and provides protection and diagnostic functions. This device integrates advanced protection functions such as load current limitation, active overload management, and configurable latch over temperature shutdown. In addition, the FaultRST pin of the VNQ7040AYTR device unlocks the output or disables the latch function in the event of a fault. It also has dedicated multifunctional multiplexed analog output pins, providing complex diagnostic functions such as high-precision proportional load current sensing, power supply voltage feedback, and chip temperature sensing, as well as detection of overload and short circuit to ground, VCC short circuit, and OFF state open circuit. In addition, the VNQ7040AYTR device has a dedicated LED mode.
